I was so happy to make another trip to NYC this year to celebrate one of my best friends’ engagement parties, and of course deciding to make a few days of it and really enjoy the city in the summer. It was probably like 100 degrees, or at least felt like it, so I kept it real easy casual for my daytime adventures.
Even though it was blazing hot (especially after making the 50-min trek to Bryant Park from my bff’s apt) I didn’t care and had a blast wandering around the city. I think that’s just what I seem to do now – wander around and discover new places and new things. Can’t complain whatsoever, I love it.
This flowy lace top paired with easy denim shorts and my favorite Adidas turned out perfect for my long walk around New York City’s east side. Added my new favorite choker from Lulu’s and go-to black sunnies. I almost got lost a few times (thank goodness for my iPhone) but I doubt I would have really minded.
What I’m wearing:
Red lace top | Urban Outfitters
Sunglasses | Illesteva
Acid-wash denim shorts | Zara
Leather choker necklace | Nasty Gal
Tan leather bag | Club Monaco
Pizza Beach LES | An awesome place we went to dinner on my first night in New York was Pizza Beach in the lower east side. I was so excited. PIZZA + THE BEACH sounds like all my favorite things, and it totally was. Favorite recommendations: margherita pizza made with fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and fresh crushed tomatoes (can’t go wrong); salumi picante pizza made with fresh mozzarella and local spiced salami; and either the tuscan kale salad or the brussel sprouts salad. By Chloe | This. place. is. amazing. Like, if I could actually go here for lunch every day I 100% would. It’s seriously chic AF. And tasty AF. Favorite items on the menu include: avocado toast and taco salad, both pictured above. Sweet potato fries were super dank, as was the drink of the day coconut mojitos. My mouth is actually watering as I am remembering this meal. So fresh, so clean – for real. Check out the rest of the menu here.
Such a fun trip, and so much to do in such a short time. Always worth it. Part 2 coming up soon (moderately…)! xx
